SEO benefits, how about forum mods?
Since boxover uses the title tag, it has signficant search engine optimization benefits when compare to other tool tips tools that use custom HTML tags. I would highlight that as a feature!
Also, I've seen some phpBB forum mods that display, for example, the last forum topic text when hovering over the topic title. This would be an excellent use for boxover...

After posting this message, I decided to adapt one of the existing phpBB mods to use boxover, instead of just displaying raw title tags (as vBulletin does here!) when displaying the topics in the forum.
It now displays the last reply, with bbcode, smilies, and even censored words removed... Really pretty easy - and, a huge benefit for SEO! Check it out in the forums on my site: http://nukeseo.com/modules.php?name=...=viewforum&f=3 Thanks again for a great script!

added to Vanilla forum
I had gotten the boxover script a while ago and never had the need for it until recently. I was looking for a way to pop up the entire contents of a post on a forum. When I saw this the other day, I thought I would try to integrate this with the Vanilla forum. I came up with a crude add-on for Vanilla which seems to work. You can see it at http://www.jwurster.us/Vanilla.1/. I haven't yet gotten what all can be done with this great script, but I will try to learn.
I would appreciate it if you could check it out and comment on it. I plan to release it as an extension for Vanilla.

please, somebody can begin a mod to phpBB3 Olympus with this great script to show a preview of first (or last) topic preview??
